Safe Sex

On Saturday 29 November positive attention will be given to the issue of Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIVAids amongst the Africans living in the Netherlands.

Entrance is free of charge.

In addition to providing you with more insights and knowledge on the STI/HIV/Aids problem on this evening, we would also like to try and find answers to the question of how we can break the silnce and taboo surrounding sexually transmitted infections and HIV within the Netherlands.

For instance, how can we make these topics discussable? How can we ensure that those infected are not isolated once their positive status becomes known?

The program includes, among others, a discussion with various pastors, an imam and people working in the health sector, including the STI poli-clinic. In addition, an African man and woman will share with you how they live with their positive HIV status. An internist, specialised in HIV/AIDS treatment will also answer questions and give explanations on the topic.

Do you have any questions on the program? Then email us!

Email us any questions you would like to have answered on sexually transmitted infections including HIV and/or their treatments. We highly appreciate this!

Send your emails to F.Mumin@ocw.denhaag.nl or to H.Belay@ocw.denhaag.nl

We are looking forward to a successful evening, where a delicious African meal is to be served, followed by rhythmic African music from a live band after dinner.
